Be Well! & Thrive is the first accredited Health and Wellness program in the U.S. for individuals with disabilities and special needs by the Institute of Credentialing Excellence (ICE). In 2013 Be Well! & Thrive was created as the groundbreaking health and wellness program of Easterseals New Jersey, and it positively impacted clients and staff across all 21 counties in New Jersey. Easterseals affiliates in parts of the U.S. participated in train the trainer programs, and
Easterseals organizations across the country participated in teleconferences to learn about Be Well! and Thrive as a model to create a culture of health and wellness in their agencies.

- Training public health professionals, organization and agency leadership, and direct support staff, in community and residential programs to support consumers to meet their health and wellness goals as required in service plans
- Collaborating with disabilities service providers and public and private agencies to influence policies that improve the health and quality of life of individuals with disabilities and special needs and their families
- Facilitating Train the Trainer programs for Be Well! & Thrive
- Training agency leaders and support staff to encourage and support healthy lifestyle behaviors of clients in community and residential programs, and measuring impact
- Planning, promoting, and advocating for inclusion of individuals with special needs in health promotion, prevention, and screenings in their communities
